Quality at Every Step of the Process

Part of providing 5-Star service is protecting your property from start to finish. Here are just a few pieces of equipment and techniques we use to keep your property protected during the installation process:
Tarps
We use a variety of tarps to protect your siding and windows from falling debris. This may be nailed to your roofline or pinned to your siding.
Equipter
A motorized dump trailer that can catch debris as well as transport materials onto your roof. This piece of equipment saves our crew time in cleanup and increases efficiency.
Protecting Landscaping/Furniture
We ensure that plants and shrubs are covered to minimize potential damage from falling debris. If needed we can build temporary structures to protect permanent furniture or delicate landscaping.

We’ll remove all existing roofing material. This includes shingles, nails, drip edge, underlayment and anything else that is required to replace your roof system. The average roof weighs 5,000-10,000 pounds and contains 10,000-20,000 nails. We handle the disposal of this material and have dedicated crew members to ensure your property is cleaned up throughout the entire process.

We will inspect the roof deck and make any necessary repairs. If needed we can replace deck boards, address flashing issues and anything else that is necessary to proceed to installing underlayment. If there are any unexpected findings your project manager will be in touch with you.

Your project manager will be in touch with you throughout the process.
Morning Check-In
Your project manager will give you a call to ensure the crew is onsite and if you have any questions you have.
Change Orders
If there is anything that requires additional scope or will change the timeline of the project, your project manager will call you and explain next steps in order to move forward with the project.
Addressing Concerns

Please also feel free to speak to the foreman on site. They’d be happy to give you status updates and answer any questions you may have about the process.

We’re proud to use GAF materials to provide you with a roof system that will stand the test of time. A typical roof underlayment consists of:
- GAF StormGuard® – Installed on eaves, roofing protrusions, wall flashing, and valleys to help prevent water penetration from ice dams and wind-driven rain. We install a minimum of two courses of GAF StormGuard which meets code requirements.
- GAF FeltBuster® – a synthetic roofing felt that helps to protect your roof from wind-driven rain and ensures a flat roofing surface.
- We install your underlay with plastic capped nails, not staples, to ensure your underlay is fastened properly and in accordance with GAFs warranty standards and industry best practices.

There are many steps to installing your new roof. Here is a basic overview of the asphalt shingle roof installation process:
- Drip edge is installed around the entire perimeter of your roof. All rakes and eaves will have a drip edge installed.
- GAF Pro-Start Starter strips is installed around entire perimeter of the roof
- We’ll ensure adequate ventilation on your roofline. This can be achieved by installing powered vents or Cobra Ridge Vent depending on the dimensions of your roof.
- GAF Timberline HDZ shingles are installed in the appropriate stepped method with a minimum of 6 nails to comply with high wind nailing standards.
- Cap shingles are installed at all roof peaks to protect your roof from leaks at the hips and ridges.
